MWI Signs Major Contract to Provide Pumps for Everglades Restoration Project
Moving Water Industries announced today that they had signed a major contract with the South Florida Water Management District to supply critically needed pumps over a four year period for the District’s Everglades Restoration Project.
Hydraflo Performed Flawlessly in New Orleans During Hurricanes Gustav and Ike
Moving Water Industries announced that its eighteen HAC360 sixty inch diameter Hydraflo Pumps located at the 17th Street Outfall Canal and the twelve HAC360 sixty inch diameter Hydraflo Pumps located at the London Avenue Outfall Canal operated flawlessly during both Hurricane Gustav and Hurricane Ike to prevent flooding in New Orleans.
Floodgates contracts awarded, 17th St., London Ave.
The first emergency contracts to build floodgates designed by the Army Corps of Engineers to stop future storm surges from entering New Orleans outfall canals damaged by Hurricane Katrina were awarded Friday night in New Orleans.

With a major floodwall break finally plugged, engineers struggled to pump out the flooded city Tuesday as authorities braced for the horrors the receding water is certain to reveal. “It’s going to be awful and it’s going to wake the nation up again,” the mayor warned.
