DEERFIELD BEACH, FL., (January 16, 2020) – MWI Pumps is pleased to announce the recent achievement of Manufacturing Operations Analyst Lance B. Robinson II, P.E. in passing the certification requirements to become a Professional Engineer. Lance, a mechanical engineer with duties including but not limited to project management, and the design, workflow / automation and manufacturing procedures of creating better and more efficient flood control, stormwater, and large volume dewatering pumps; is now a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Florida.
“I am proud to congratulate Mr. Robinson for receiving his Professional Engineer license. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to earn this licensure” says Dana Eller, CEO.
Lance Robinson originally joined the MWI Pumps team as an intern in 2010. After graduating from Florida Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Lance spent some time in Wisconsin working on software systems. Robinson returned to Florida and the MWI family in 2015 after having enough of the frigid temperatures of the Midwest and to continue growing the skills he learned during his undergraduate studies.
Robinson’s 5 years at MWI has offered him the experience and opportunity to work with many seasoned Professional Engineers on a wide range of projects. As a project manager, Mr. Robinson has been integral in evaluating, developing and implementing key performance improvements and automation processes that increase profitability and decrease labor costs at MWI Pumps. Lance was able to apply this learned knowledge towards his two intensive exams and earn a license from their state’s licensure board. He is currently working on several projects including revising skid manufacturing for all of our construction dewatering equipment and automating internal database reporting systems. He looks forward to continuing his time at MWI Pumps.
Way to go Lancer !!!!! Congratulations
